Alice Ventures (d.b.a AV International) is a venture capital fund focused on early-stage technology and consumer companies that aim to elevate and empower women’s lives. The fund is based in New York City with primary investment targets in United States.
Alice Ventures currently has two unpaid internship positions:

Internship I
AV International is seeking an intern to join its investment team based in New York City. The intern, who will act as an investment associate will support the entire investment process, including sourcing, due diligence, deal execution and project management and portfolio support. The position will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the firm’s senior partners in business development.
Select responsibilities include:
•        Researching and evaluating companies for potential investment and/or strategic opportunities;
•        Supporting deal screening, evaluation, due diligence and execution;
•        Industry research and competitive analysis;
•        Financial modeling/valuation of investment opportunities;
•        Supporting the preparation of investment proposals
•        Interface with business development team to understand depth and breadth of strategic opportunities and help inform key focus areas.
Language requirements: English and Mandarin Chinese.
Successful candidate shall possess:
•        A strong inner-drive to learn new things and create new value in a collaborative team environment;
•        Prior experience in PE/VC or a related field (e.g., corporate development, buy- or sell-side investment research, strategy consulting, investment banking, business or strategy at a technology company, etc.) or an advanced degree (i.e. graduate degree, MBA) in finance;
•        A thoughtful and highly analytical mindset balanced with strong people skills to enable effective expression of well-informed viewpoints while positively representing AV International externally;
•        A demonstrated passion for technology, financial services and early-stage investing, coupled with an ability to think and operate within a strategic context;
•        Ability to work independently but also interactively within a team-oriented environment with a balance of confidence and humility;
•        Appreciation of the rapidly advancing technology landscape and the vast opportunity for financial services therein.

Internship II
AV International is seeking an intern to join its investment team based in New York City. The intern, who will act as a financial analyst is charged to provide management team with the needed insight to drive intelligent, sound decision-making. The intern will assist the investment team in identifying, evaluating and negotiating both acquisition and strategic investment opportunities. This position requires an able candidate with the strong quantitative skills, strategic thinking and sound business judgment, along with the ability to think about what is - and what could be.
Select responsibilities include:
•        Creating and executing financial analyses in support of the investment process (e.g. financial statement analysis, LBO models, returns and sensitivity analysis, comparable company valuation analysis, etc.);
•        Conducting fundamental research on a wide range of geographies, industries, companies, and macroeconomic trends;
•        Participating in investment diligence including calls / meetings with industry experts, equity research analysts, management teams and sponsors;
•        Supporting investment sourcing, client service requests and portfolio monitoring and other organizational processes.
Successful candidates shall possess:
•        Prior experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, equity research or has an advanced degree (i.e. Graduate, MBA) in finance or management consulting;
•        Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; experienced in building financial models and valuing companies;
•        Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills;
•        Quantitative modeling experience;
•        An understanding of financial concepts, valuation, and accounting;
•        A high level of attention-to-detail;
•        An ability to meet challenging deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy;
•        A high level of interest in global macroeconomic investment trends.
Language Requirements: English and Mandarin Chinese.
