Job Summary

Apple’s HW Test Engineering group is a terrific positionfor a student interested in working in a fast paced environment and willing todrive exciting cross-functional projects. In this role, you’ll develop new testsolutions including the electrical design, SW development, and physicalimplementation in the factory.

Key Qualifications

- Student in BS or MS EE/Physical Sciences

- Knowledge of EE fundamentals, and exposure to one of thefollowing:

- Analog electronics

- PCB design

- Electrical Instrumentation design

- Acoustics and audio measurements

- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies,DMM, electronic loads.

- Proficient in C++

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

- Knowledge of data analysis and statistics

- Excellent oral and written communication skillsincluding effective presentations

Description

Responsible for developing factory tests to be conductedin the Accessories space, for new product introduction. This includes: -Specifying calibration station, test stations and diagnostics for calibratingand measuring product features. - Overseeing design and development ofinstrumentation systems for PCBs and final products. Be responsible for thesesystems’ accuracy and reliability. This include the physical fixturing -Specifying/implementing test process control and data collection. - Documentingyour designs. - Be the main contact concerning your tests and processes withour Contract Manufacturers. - Responsible for communicating to management andtechnical staff the outcome of all of the tests for the product. This positionrequires ability to deal with dynamic and rapidly changing environmentrequiring decision making with ambiguous information.

Education

Student in BS or MS EE/Physical Sciences

Additional Requirements

May be asked to travel internationally for short periods.
